Is it possible ?. I tell Alexa something and the reply should be what I want Alexa to say ?

Hi All...

This is a very different question.  I have Echo 5 (Alexa). Is there a possibility to tell or ask Alexa something and the reply it gives should be something what i want it to say ???

For ex. I will tell /ask  Alexa " Alexa, I am going out" and Alexa should reply back saying " OK. have your taken your keys, bank cards, wallet etc"....or another example is, mostly what i have done many times. With yout appoint letter at the hospital they wont let you in.  i do this. 2nd example  is to ask/tell Alexa "Alexa, I am going to the hospital"....Alexa's reply should be "OK. have you taken you keys, bank cards, your walking stick, a mask and YOUR HOSPITAL LETTER".

I hope i have made it clear to everyone. I am sure there are experts out there who can help me do this, i could not find any such Alexa skill.

I thank you and await for anyone's reply.

Kind regards and be safe

AK

On Alexa on the phone (Android) the Home page has some things on starting with "Create a Reminder" at the top of the page.  If you scroll down there is a section headed "Customise Alexa's Answers, have Alexa sat whatever you want".  I have never used it, but that looks like it will do what you are wanting to do.

Just to help out, here are some questions for which you might wish to programme:
Alexa - who is the fairest / brainiest / greatest of them all?
The answer to all options should be "Grumpy Chap"

Yeah you can do this, it's called Routines.

    1. Open the Alexa App
    2. Go to 'More' at the bottom and then click 'Routines'
    3. Click the + in the top right hand corner
    4. Follow each step to say what you want.

So you could just basically set it so when you say something like "Alexa, Goodbye." She will reply "Goodbye, make sure you have your keys, wallet etc.."

I have it set so that I say "Goodnight" to her and she turns all my smart lights off, I keep meaning to set a 'Goodbye" so she does this when I leave the house.

I've set a jokey routine up so that whenever anybody asks her what the weather is doing today, she tells them to stop being lazy and open the curtains :p

My Alexa experience started when I bought an Amazon Fire powered TV, the software running the TV is Amazon Fire. Soon got used to the gimmick of speaking into the remote to turn the TV on/change channels etc. Since then I've bought three Alexas from CEX, less than £10 each, and smart bulbs and switches and have several routines set up. When I get home I simple say 'Alexa, I'm home' and the kitchen light, lounge light, TV and kettle come on if I've readied the kettle before I leave for work. I need to turn the kettle on at the base and fill it with enough water. When I go to bed it's 'Alexa, goodnight' and all the lights turn off as well as the TV and also the bedside lamp turns on, when I'm ready to go to sleep then it's 'Alexa, turn off bedroom light' and the bedside light turns off. The only light in my flat I physically turn on/off is the bathroom light, I've tried smartbulbs in there and they don't work for some reason.

You could always marry someone called Alexa.

I'm sure she would tell you to do all these things (and a lot more!)
