Lowell

Hi sorry if this has already been discussed but I need some help. I had a vanquise credit card in 2015 and in 2017 wrote to them to inform them I was struggling to pay due to being off work for 9 months. I never heard anything back. Roll on to now and Lowell send me a letter demanding I pay them
I've asked for them to send me my credit agreement which they have and it's showing on my credit file. However I don't have any spare income to even pay them. How can I deal with this as debt companies are saying I need at least£100 spare income. I'm currently on long term sick SSP from work and I don't want them to take a ccj. They are also chasing me for a debt for British gas from 12years ago for £100. I recently got diagnosed with ms so can't be stressed out
 Any advice

Call them up. I've been dealing with Lowell for a while now and I've personally found them to be one of the better collection agencies to deal with. I'm paying them off £13 a month for a Vanquis debt after entering my budget and expenditure on the website, and speaking to them on the phone. They know times are hard for a lot of people at the moment but they can only help if you speak to them.

Probably best to head over to the Debt-Free Wannabe board, where there is plenty of info about what to do in this situation, including the existence (and usefulness) of debt charities:
