Changing Credit Card with same issuer

I've had a TSB Platinum 0% balance transfer for coming on 3.5 years. I've paid off the initial balance transfer and have now cleared the card. I am in the process of buying my first home. Ideally I would like to switch this product into the Platinum 0% purchases and use it for initial furnishing and pay it off over the course of the . Is that something the lender would do?

What I want to know is if anyone has ever been able to move their existing card onto another card with a new introductory offer. Or should I be applying for a new card once I complete on the house purchase?

Ultimately speak to them and see what they say.

Most require that you make a new application and its up to you if you keep the old card or not.

TSB only allow one card and when I asked a similar question to yours I was told to close my existing one and wait 3 months before reapplying.

Similar with Nationwide. I have their Select credit card which is no longer offered to new customers. If I want their new Member credit card, I can change my Select but the new card wouldn't have any introductory offer. If I wanted to get the 15 months 0% introductory offer, I would have to close my Select card, wait 1 year and then apply for the new Member card.

As a slight aside - be wary about applying for any new line of credit in the run-up to a house purchase.  There's a chance that a recent credit application can affect your mortgage application.  The usual advice is not to apply for any new credit until your mortgage is absolutely and completely fully secured.
