No change as yet, but watch out next year (not retrospective). Provided driver isn't identified, ignore is safe ...... for now!Snowy28 said:I have had one of these come on Friday also Scotland. Can anyone please tell me if the law has changed yet around registered keeper responsibility? Can I ignore? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Britania parking Smyths toys / rose street.Know there has been multiple posts regarding britania parking notices being issued.I’ve had multiple some from running in to grab a coffee and not paying, changing over cars with my partner after work with the kids etc not working for anytime etc.Pay when we’re staying for any length of time.Ignored all letters, but got a phonecall from BW legal today didn’t know who it was to begin with actually thought it was about my car finance as buying new car and lady was going through confirming who I was / address etc car make.Said I’ve got multiple cars and said models etcAnyone been through this stage before as she suggested paying the amount or seeking legal advice. At no point did I confirm who was driving or did she say which car in question had the fine against it.But has anyone been to court for this ?0

Are you in Scotland? If so, if it's a single parking charge, just ignore it. Anything under £300 is very difficult and disproportionately expensive for a pursuit through the Sheriff Court. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I have multiple fines from the same carpark unfortunately. They are trying to say each fine is £170 rhe call today was only regarding one ticket but I imagine they’ll be more calls coming as it’s separate dates0

So they can’t do anything as they don’t know who was driving basically ?Coupon-mad said:

Plan A is always a complaint from the keeper to the landowner and the keeper's M(S)P, without revealing the driver's identity.
There is no Plan B in Scotland at the moment.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
