New PIP process

I rang yesterday for a new claim for PIP, after the usual standard questions details etc we got to the end. I was advised I could make my claim online. They sent an email and I logged in an completed. All evidence was scanned uploaded. Personally I found it much easier. Only after did I search for any information. The gov has not updated this new procedure of application. I know it was starting in Scotland. I’m in south East. I wondered if anyone else has applied online? I imagine it’s a pilot, I found it easier and hope speeds up process.

To be honest I was surprised when she said I could apply online. Agreed some people may struggle. The additional information can include practitioners etc but that would mean them having access to your, phone, iPad when your completing. Although you could upload supporting letters. I just wondered if anyone else applied this way and if it speeds the process.0

I am not sure it speeds things up too much. I did my online claim in April and I have my telephone assessment tomorrow.0
