Winter Sun - deals, where to go???

Arrggghhh! I need to get out of this miserable country (UK) for some sun.

I presume summer sun at a decent price is going to mean either Tenerife or Lanzarote.
Can anyone help?

It could get complicated, but basically i can go solo (or with someone) any date from 18th December-14th January.

The second option is for 3 people, but must be between 28th December 2007 - January 14th 2008.

North-West airport preferred (Manchester is always best). - Though may go from somewhere else if the saving is significant.

I want to go for at least 10 days. Cheap budget.

Please help me escape a grey Xmas..........

Egypt? Fantastic weather. Try some of the less well known Canaries such as Fuerteventura - very nice!

Egypt tends to be cheaper than the canaries and is hotter :T Absolutely love sharm el sheikh!!

Watch out for flight deals from Liverpool to Fuerteventura, sometimes £1 plus tax each way. Beaches are fantastic, cheap food and beer and lots of beautiful sunshine. Corralejo is the best resort!

Would anyone recommend a package over booking flight and accom seperately?

I can't really tell you how many people it's for. I'm definately going and perhaps 1 or 2 other people.

Has anyone here been to Fuerteventura? Is there anything to do there except walking on sand????
