Barclaycard Issue

So on the 12th April 2021 I messaged Barclaycard via Apple Business chat on my iPhone asking for a copy of my statements, They messaged back saying they have been ordered and will take 5-7 working day's to arrive, as time went by they never arrived.
So I messaged them again on the 8th May asking why they not arrived and funnily enough they couldn't tell me if they were ordered so ordered again and said would arrive on the 14th, as they didn't arrive on the 14th rung them on the 15th and got through to Barclays who said I couldn't speak to Barclaycard as there call centre is closed due to Covid 19 pandemic and said sorry for them not arriving will order again said would arrive on the 21st,
When they didn't arrive on 21st Rung again and spoke to a very helpful lady who helped me out and spoke to Barclaycard (via skype Internally) and got told due to the Pandemic the statements can take up to 4-5 weeks to arrive but I would defiantly get them and would give me £25 for the inconvenience they caused me,
were the first 3 agents wrong to tell me they would arrive by certain date, I feel like they didn't send them or sent them to a different address. as they have my correct address on file and I still get other documents from Barclays/Barclaycard with no issues,
Anyone else had this issue with Barclaycard?
Should I complain? as feel like if my statements have gone missing and worried that someone else might have my details/data or should I leave it and just hope the statements will arrive in 4-5 weeks

As they didn't arrive by that date, clearly yes. But it's nothing sinister They were just quoting normal timescales. They haven't sent them to anyone else.GTR_King said:

You can complain about anything you want. They might give you another few quid, but I doubt it.2 -
Covid delays, printing delays etc. If you really need paper copies of everything rather than using the app or website unfortunately these things take time to organise as they need someone to physically deal with the paperwork0

Should I complain? as feel like if my statements have gone missing and worried that someone else might have my details/data or should I leave it and just hope the statements will arrive in 4-5 weeksYou've nothing else to complain about as they have already given you £25 for what I would consider a very minor inconvenience, your statements will probably arrive in a few weeks and that will be the end of your not so serious problemWhy couldn't you download your statements from the Barclaycard website, like I do each month? Or do you need physical copies for something?Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
I like to have paper copies as well just in case I need it for anything, but still download them to my MacBook Prodr_adidas01 said:Why couldn't you download your statements from the Barclaycard website, like I do each month? Or do you need physical copies for something?

Sounds exactly right, Probably due to Covid 19 and so many people wanting statements it taking longer than Usual to print them, but saying that Barclays is allot quicker, usually arrives in 5-7 working days
Thanks for the Reply's will just have to wait but feel it shouldn't take 5-6 weeks to arrive 5-12 days is more reasonable time frame, but if they told me it will take 4-5 weeks to arrive in the first place then I would of waited and not kept asking them why..
I feel £25 is a good offer and they told me that if after 4 weeks the statements have not arrived to ring them again, and they will see what they can do to get them to me,0 -
Could of done but prefer paper copies as well,
Will see if they turn up lol0 -
They are paper copies if you print them yourself by definition as you print them on paper.GTR_King said:Could of done but prefer paper copies as well,
Will see if they turn up lolTo me it looks like you’ve wasted a lot of time and effort for something you could quite easily have printed yourself. Why don’t you switch to paper statements then as they would then send you one every month!?!Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:1 -
Why does any of that matter? If the OP wants paper statements and Barclaycard offer this service then they're entitled to use it and expect it will work as intended. They could be using them to make paper airplanes for all it matters, it doesn't make the service from Barclaycard any better in this case.dr_adidas01 said:

Sure but it's an obscene waste of paper and a potential security/fraud risk to have 6 years of paper statements sat around for no reason when electronic copies can be downloaded and saved on the PC or a cloud drive or wherever, much easier to search through for a transaction if only vague details are known etcgordon_harris said:

Update
still no statements so Rung Barclaycard today (Got through to Barclays) for an update and when they will turn up, who Skyped Barclaycard internally as offices still closed and said there is still issues going on but can't say why, and load of people complaining about it, and from the system it show as my statements were sent out but can't be sure if they have been printed/sent out or if I will receive them at all, so they re ordered the statements again 1st class priority for expected delivery Tuesday 1st June with earliest Saturday and latest Wednesday arrival.
Hopefully this time they will turn up and not fob me off again,
if the other orders do arrive will burn/shred them as shouldn't take 5-12 weeks to arrive that's way to long, and they should inform their customers or put something on the website/social media,
I prefer paper copies
