Any Cabincrew out there?

I just want to clarify if a person would be allowed to fly if they present for boarding with a black eye and swollen face.

My daughter was assaulted in Germany (thankfully she's ok but shaken and bruised) but we want to bring her home and need to know if she can fly before we purchase flight tickets. If she can't then my husband can drive over and collect her.

The doctors at the hospital do not seem to be overly concerned and have not placed any restrictions on her.

Should be ok, I think - check with the airline you want to buy the tickets from to be sure.

should be fine I'm sure loads of people come back from holiday bruised...just think injurys from surfing and other sports,falling over after one to many and goodness knows what else. My sister in law is cabin crew so will ask her and if no one has posted will let you know what she says.Hope your daughter recovers fully soon.

It is at the discretion of the boarding staff and/ or the crew (whoever notices first), and I suppose that would depend on how bad she looks. I would get a note from the hospital, as the airline staff may require this to allow her to fly, just in case she has internal injuries that could be worsened by flying.
