I don’t know if anyone can remember me but my old job had paid me a month too much, they had got my leaving date wrong.
so I contacted them straight away and paid back the £1100
i left the 23rd feb ,they paid me to 23rd March.
I should have only been paid £140
They told me they couldn’t change the details with HMRC till the next payroll which was yesterday.
I was told by universal credit once they amended the RTI I would receive my universal credit payment I should have received.

Checked my personal tax account they haven’t amended the details,it’s still showing last month £1100 and they have put 22nd April £140
So not only can’t i claim back the UC of £900 I should have received but Il have money taken off next months payment because they have put the £140 down as this months earnings.
can I do anything?

As it's your old employer that's causing the problem then you need to contact them again.

I’ve been In touch with my old employer.
They said all they can do is what they’ve done.
They said they can’t amend last months figures ..only imput them this month.
is that correct ?0 -
The £140 will affect your next UC payment as you've already stated. They can ammend last months RTI and they need to do this, until they do then you won't receive anything owed from UC. All they have done is caused you to be worse off again for your next UC payment.

My employer has replied today saying
The figures have been checked and input today.
The figures entered won’t be a monthly amount they will be a total reduction for tax year 2020/2021
What does this even mean?0
