Will you son's commute be by train or by car or both?

    This will have an impact

As per the title, could anyone recommend a decent place to buy/rent in North East England.

My son has a new job up there, covering an area that includes Doncaster, Sheffield, Boston, Scunthorpe and Selby.

it’s going to be a fair bit of commuting to various locations but his partner is living in Leeds for the next 3 years.

    Thanks in advance!
I’m not sure if I’m missing the joke here, but none of those places are in North East England. Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Durham, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, these are in North East England.
Ah but it’s north east from down south 😉
It took me many years of living in Scotland to get used to people referring to the South, when they were talking about places I'd grown up thinking of as in the North!

I relocated from Essex to Cumbria and am still deeply confused by the fact Sheffield is 2.5 hours south of me.

Having relocated from Berkshire to Cumbria I know exactly what you mean! :D

Leeds is pretty close to all those places apart from Boston. Can he not move in with his partner?

I’ll ask him but I think he believes it’s just too far out to commute from if he’s in Grimsby for a 3 days in a row etc.

I just saw this and thought the same.
I’m from the north east (South Shields) and when I saw the list of places I was all “that is NOT the north east” 🤣🤣

It wouldn't be Grimsby that is the awkward commute it would be Boston. Grimsby is at the end of the M180/A180 so pretty fast connection to Leeds.
