Romantic weekend cottage required

My OH and I have decided that rather than buy Xmas pressies for each other this year we would rather spend the money we would have spent on going away early in the new year without the children:j

My dream would be to go to a cosy cottage for 2 with a roaring log fire, big bed and big bath, with a reasonable kitchen so we can make our own cooked brekkies but within walking distance of a pub serving food so that we can eat out in the evening but in true MSE style self cater for the rest of the weekend. Somewhere to go for walks, either in the country or by the coast would be great :D

We live in Surrey and as it's only a long weekend would like not to go more than 2 hours drive. Has anyone got any recommendations ?
