3yr old parking charge claim

I paid for parking but collected my car late from a private car park in Kettering in Dec2017. I do recall getting a PCN for £70 a few weeks later, but ignored it.
However, I have now recently received 3 letters (Feb, Mar & April) from BW Legal demanding the charge + £54 cost = £124, and threatening court action.

The opening statement of the last letter dated 19/04/21 reads: "we have been instructed by Total Parking Solutions Limited to bring legal proceedings against you in respect of the above unpaid charge. If payment or a response is not received before 18 may 2021, we are instructed to issue a claim against you in the county court without further notice". Yet the closing paragraph states: " we wish to remind you that in a final effort to avoid the need for litigation, our client is still willing to offer you the option of paying the balance via an affordable payment plan. Please note that this offer expires in the 18th of May 2021, after which time your case will be considered for litigation for the full current balance. "  And I am invited to pay or contact them.

Considering how long ago this happened, I will appreciate some advice as to how to handle this. Continue to ignore or contact them to appeal or defend? Or.....?

I have read several posts but can't seem to find one that addresses a similar dilemma.

Many thanks.

Read post 2 of the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum , read about replying to rebut the claim and place on hold for 30 days whilst you seek debt management advice

Plus email a SAR to the DPO at TPS to obtain all your data attaching copies of 2 recent redacted utility bills as proof of I D under the GDPR law , or a copy of the V5C instead

TPS have 6 years to issue a court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton , a court claim , that is when you defend it , much too late to appeal it , 3 or 4 years too late

There is no dilemma (no issue for you to decide one way or the other) and every BW Legal thread is the same.

Please read NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST post #2 of it tells you how to win in court...same as all the zillions of court threads here, many with court claims and pre-action letters from BW Legal and their ilk, about PCNs that are much older than just 3 years.

If you haven't read the NEWBIES thread first please, we beg, no asking for a link to it.  That's why I have my signature below.
