Dishwasher cold water intake

Due to the layout of my kitchen, my dishwasher and washing machine are located side by side and my cold water intake for the dishwasher has this on the end (see picture). Is there anything I can get/do to extend this intake as there is no way it will reach from where it has to go, to the intake.

It might but im not sure of the purpose of the enclosure at the end of the intake?

Actually I’ve just looked and we can’t replace it with that as it’s a different connection

I would think that’s the water valve , a lot are built in, miele like to do this and charge accordingly

I think it's some sort of anti-leak/flood device which shuts off the supply if it detects an unusual flow - somehow...

Than an standard extension hose in that to the intake.

This is called 'AquaStop hose'. It can be either (a) purely mechanical -

How does the Aqua-stop hose work? It's a hose within a hose. The outer hose is made of corrugated plastic designed to contain any water if the inner hose leaks. ... If the inner hose ever leaks, then a device inside this housing is able to detect the incident and prevent further water getting into it.

 - or (b) electrically controlled by the appliance, e.g.

If (a), it has connectors on both sides and there is no point in extending it with a piece of an ordinary hose. Replace  it with either  a longer ordinary hose or a longer similar one, e.g.

I see 2.5m and 4m available.

I think that's exactly what your existing hose is connected to.

BTW, you can possibly extend the pipe, not the hose.

Sorry am I being stupid? What do you mean the pipe and not the hose?
