Please help - parking co cowboys

Hi I’ve received a letter dated 01.04.21 saying the parking charge has now gone up to £100 and citing 17.03.21 as the issue date.
This is the first time I became aware of this as the ticket has never been issued and we have never received the so called previous letter.
My partner called yesterday to see if they would accept payment for original fee of £60 but was refused. Looking at the images of my car the date in the photos is 13.03.21 not 17.03.21 - does this help us in anyway?
We just had a baby and cannot afford to pay £100 and £60 is a massive stretch. Had we had the original letter we would have just paid £60. I’m the keeper but my partner was the driver.
Any tips on how to challenge this or reduce to £60?

Thank you so much for your help.

£100 was always the default sum and it will never revert back to £60 , hence the refusal

    Name the parking company

Read the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum , plan A is your best option , it always is

The issue date is always a few days after the incident date , so nothing to see there

The price has not gone up, just you have lost the right to the discounted £60.

WHO IS THE PARKING COMPANY ??

Don't phone them again, the scammers are desperate for money due to covid

    DON'T PAY THEM EITHER

Wait to see what happens next. You may get silly letters from idiotic debt collectors but those you ignore as they are powerless

Why would anyone ever do that?  Didn't you Google the scam first?!

WHY DO PEOPLE PHONE A SCAM INDUSTRY LIKE IT'S NORMAL? Wise up - now you've given them your phone number and told them who was driving.

    Gaaahhh!.

Please just read the NEWBIES thread and stop taking the scam so seriously.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

FYI I’ve not told them who was driving. They know it wasn’t me driving but they haven’t got my partners details and he was the driver.

I did read the sample letter on this website but it asks for images of the vehicle and the sign. The countrywide parking company has provided those. I wasn’t sure how much I’d gain by emailing that appeal letter.

Which is why plan A is the best option , getting the PCN cancelled

Countrywide is an IPC member , so a keeper appeal using the template can be submitted , but will definitely be rejected

That template appeal asks for all photographs.

You have no way of knowing whether you already have all the photos, do you?
