Hi customer service
I booked a weekend away holiday last year
To jersey which was transferred to April 30th 2021
Due to the current situation we are still been unable to travel and boarders being closed to holidaymakers we have asked the hotel for a refund they have advertised
Us the hotel is open so therefore they can not offer us a refund even though it can only accommodate essential travel and jersey residence this was there response

They are essentially saying that they are open for business and can provide the room you've paid for. The travel restrictions imposed by the UK and Jersey governments are not their fault.
What were the terms of your booking? If it was a non-refundable rate then you may be stuck. Have they offered any alternative? Like another date move or credit note?0 -
+1 on above and same questions. In addition, is this a package travel arrangement or did you buy the flights and hotel separately?

+2 as above. Obviously if you have asked for a refund for a future date the answer will be no. Wait until nearer time and see what they offer. If the hotel happens to be closed on 30th April then you would be eligible for a refund but not if it is open to guests on that date. The most you can hope for is a goodwill gesture from the hotel to move your booking.Assuming of course you didn’t book a package.0

+3 to above. The hotel is open and therefore I'd view this the same way as flights; if there's room availability reserved for you, then there is no right to a refund unless protected by a package.💙💛 💔0
