Morning all, & thanks nmlc- hope the results of the meeting are favourable. I'm feeling a bit groggy, the wind and rain kept me half awake all night and I got up at 6 (unheard of
)
DH came down at 6.45 to my amazement,he's been sleeping later since we had Covid,and was very miffed to find out it wasn't 7.45 as he'd thought.Still, we had to take DGS to school so at least we were organised! That took a while as they have temp traffic lights for roadworks to repair the sink hole after a water main burst a couple of weeks ago, and with most pupils back at school now the traffic was bad.I took the hound across the road into the little wood for her walk, and ended up picking up loads of branches that had dropped onto the pavement.Chicken stir fry for tea. I seem at last to be making a bit of space in the freezers, they have been so full I could hardly shut them! Though yesterday I batched cooked some mince so there's a shepherds pie waiting to go in.I hate doing alterations ( especially for other people)
Stay well, no more falling,ouch Maddie x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11 -
Morning all, hugs if you need one, Maddie hope you are OK after your tumble. AOD you should have been told at the time that you had broken your shoulder.
Well it has been a fun filled morning, DB announced yesterday that he had palps again, he is getting them every 2 weeks, not that I tend to take a lot of notice, his pacemaker is supposed to sort them out. We were still awake at 2am. I woke at 8am and left DB in bed, made the coffee, but left the toast till DB got up just after 9am. His palps went of about 4.30am he said,
Door went just after 9.30, my baking tins from Pro cook, I decided to out all my old stuff and replace it. Pro cook stuff is good quality and not too expensive. I was just back from the post office when there was a knock at the door, the cooker, so its all connected up and working........and they were well inside the time.
I have to wipe out the inside and put all the shelves etc in, also need to wash the new bakeware and put it away. I will test both ovens to see how they perform, so excess cake I think, any offers to eat it up??? Daft question!!
Cooked chicken breast in the Ninja, have taken out enough for tonight to have with pasta and a container in the freezer for another meal.
Right off to get my lunch and recover my breath!!

Afternoon all, I spent the morning attending a zoom webinar. Diversity, Equality and Inclusion - not a new area as my organisation was, of necessity and because it is right, big on equality and snti-oppressive practice. Always good to have a refresh and reflect though. Fortunately it wasn't one of those where you are visible to everyone, at least I rather hope not because there I sat in my sling with my arm propped up on a pillow.
Maddie, hope you are doing OK. When I had that fall, after I got home from A and E, my OH helpfully pointed out that now I'm getting older, I am less likely to bounce. Amazingly, he is still alive and cooking our dinner, wraps today.
Mr Mo**ison delivered the shopping yesterday.
Not much else to say really, the hail has bashed down my sweet crocus plants though the daffodils have thumbed their little yellow noses at the weather.
nmlc, hope your formal interview resulted in what is best for you.
Have a nice evening, I'm not sleeping at all well so will bog off to bed after dinner. It is partly pain and partly the nightmares, back with a vengeance.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back9 -
Deleted_User, they did tell me I'd chipped the bone, I suppose it might be a matter of interpretation.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back6
