Child going to college in Sept

On HB and CTC. My child will be going to college in September. When do I tell HB and CTC then my child will be going to college? Will this mean going to UC?

Will they be leaving home to go to college or will they still be living at home with you? How old is the child (or how old will they be in September)?

You do not notify HB / CTC until the change actually happens, as anything could happen between now and September.

Child would be 16 and living with us (parents). I know the CTC is updated in April, that's why I asked. Thanks for your reply.

You will need to report the changes nearer the time. Although your CTC will very likely stop for a very short time until your new award is processed and then you'll receive a new award notice.
