What to plant under dripping boiler flue?

I have a boiler flue on the side gable of my house which drips down onto the terrace when the boiler is running.
Any ideas for something that I could plant up in a pot plant that would absorb the dripping water?

  • Nothing that will live - it's acidic.

How about a plastic plant, with limestone chippings around it to neutralise the acid?

On a more serious note, it shouldn't be dripping a lot - the flue should be angled backwards to the boiler to prevent what you are experiencing.

Thanks for this. I've got my plumber to take a look and it appears one of the slates on the side of the house has come loose and is forcing the flue to point downwards. He has the angle grinder out now ...
