Good evening
My assessment period runs from 15th of the month to 14th of next month.  The UC payment month in question is for April so assessment period is 15th March to 14th April. I receive my payslip on the 14th April but I am paid on 16th. My employer sends all information in rti to HMRC on the same day I receive my payslip on 14th.
I am also paid on 19th March with in the assessment period. Will UC take into consideration the actual date I am paid on April 16th, which would be a new assessment period or the date when my earnings are submitted to HMRC on 14th April?

Given those dates, are you on a 4 week payment cycle? If so there will be one AP each year in which two earnings payments are taken into account.

Yes I am paid 4 weekly and the month when I'm paid twice in one assessment period is the month of April. I'm aware that I won't receive any UC for that month for April to May.

The date the payment is treated as received by you will depend on the date your employer reports as your pay date to HMRC.

  • Hi Chris,
March to April ap will be 1 wage taken into account.  April to May ap will be your once a year double wage thats taken into account providing what you've said above rings true with your employers reporting to hmrc.
