Ignoring stage

I hope I am allowed to post this it’s very confusing and when people post the wrong thing they get shouted at, I’ve got 2 pcns for the same place around 2 years ago now, I ignored them (yes I know I shouldn’t have but the guides confused the hell out of me) and had letters for a while but they stopped. Then started getting letters recently from a debt management company, from the newbie guides I understand you just ignore these so I have done, problem is I’ve moved house recently and I know if I ignore and it goes further they will send paperwork to a property I no longer live at, I don’t want it to go any further and the wife said just pay the 300 quid to get it over with I refuse as it was 2 10 min max stays at a place I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to park, signage was rubbish. would informing them of the move mean they are more likely to chase me as im now in contact with them and aren’t ignoring them, someone pleas help

it may do but we cannot speak for these peopleif you dont you could end up with a default CCJ which is harder to deal withthey could use a tracing service to get your present address regardless, even if you moveunder GDPR , you should do a data rectification notice to avoid these issues completelyits your decision1

What’s a data rectification notice and how will that help me?

You MUST email the DPO at the PPC informing them of your new address and to ERASE the old data.
Failure to do this may lead to them issuing court papers to your old address and you finding a CCJ has been applied for without your knowledge.
Read the NEWBIES thread carefully to understand the game you are now involved in.
Come back when you get court papers for bespoke advice.2 -
Hi all I have recently sent my requests in via email and have heard nothing back, is it ok this gets done electronically or should I be sending a physical
letter in too?0 -
Hopefully you sent an instruction, not a request, and hopefully your instruction included the words, erase, and replace or update. Hopefully you also sent it to the DPO of the scammers and kept proof of sending/screenshots etcetera.
Sending a letter won't hurt as long as it is done first class from a Post Office counter and you obtain a free proof of posting.
Have you looked on the scammer's website as if you were going to pay and see whether your data has been updated.
It hasn't been very long since you sent the instruction so I wouldn't worry too much just yet.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks1
