Hi

I recently got a £40 Habitat gift card for my birthday from friends in Scotland. Obviously the Belfast store has now closed down and I trying to find out how I can spend the money which is on the card.

I emailed Habitat customer services, they told me I could only buy something in a UK mainland store. I was also told the card is non-refundable and it is also not possible to convert the card to Euros so that I can spend it in the Dublin store.

Apart from flying over to England/Scotland to shop in person in a Habitat store - does anyone have any other ideas?....Is a new Habitat shop to open shortly in NI?

I didnt realise the Belfast store had closed down...when did this happen?

Have you thought about selling it on ebay and you could buy something in a local store instead?

I heard that it was moving somewhere up the boucher road in Belfast? Perhaps check customer relations in case they are opening there at some stage?

When I got married years ago when the original Belfast store was open, I got vouchers for Habitat as a wedding present. I never got round to using them, and the store eventually closed. I emailed customer services and they told me if I sent them back they would send me a cheque, which they did.
Maybe if you try and email them again you may get someone more sympathetic this time who will let you do the same?
