Paying for flights

Last year I won a trip to a weight loss clinic in Riga.
The company has advised that I should pay for my own flights and they will reimburse after the weight loss appointment.
Is this a good idea?
They are covering the hotels in advance at this stage.

Congrats first of all!
I would suggest checking the T&C's and see what was covered. If paying for your own flights and asking for a reimbursement was mentioned, then you have small to no chances of them agreeing to pay for your flights in advance.0 -
