Flight Claims

We had transferred our flights from Last year as they were cancelled due to Covid.  My husband has suddenly passed away and I have tried to get a refund from Jet2.  They say that as I have travel insurance I must claim from them.  I tried the Halifax as my husband paid for our flights by credit card but they say they cannot help.  I am heartbroken.   I have contacted my travel insurance Aviva but I don't feel hopeful that they will reimburse me.  This is for 8 flights (2 return for 2 people).

I am very sorry for your loss.

Jet2 is however correct in that to obtain a refund this would be a travel insurance claim. You mention you have contacted Aviva but don't feel hopeful that they will reimburse - why is that, have that said something to you?   Once you initiate contact with Aviva they should send a claims form or direct you to an online area to complete a claim.
