Tax Claim On Working From Home Purchases

Hi,

Since March, I’ve been working from home. During this time I’ve purchased a desk chair, webcam, mouse and keyboard with my own personal money.

I’m just wondering if anyone knows if it’s possible to claim tax back on these? And also if I were to purchase a new laptop, would I be able to claim tax back on that as well?

    It's very unlikely.  There are a number of tests and unlikely they can be met for a PAYE employee.
    Why didn't your employer buy these things?

    Yes, that is basically the problem. The items have to be necessary for the purposes of performing the employment, and the first question is that if you cannot do the job without them, why doesn't the employer buy them?
