Can I get my deposit back if my beauty appointment was cancelled because of lockdown?

I had a nail appointment booked for November 2020 for which I had to pay a deposit to secure the appointment. The appointment got cancelled because it fell during the second lockdown. I had an automated email to let me know about the cancellation, but no mention of a refund on the deposit. I cannot reschedule the appointment because I am moving away from the area. I messaged the nail technician last week to ask about getting my deposit back. She saw the message five days ago and is yet to reply. Am I right to be asking for it back? I'd like to follow up on my initial message but would like to understand my rights before doing so. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!

What do the terms say?1

Thanks for your reply! I can't find any unfortunately. She does all of her bookings through Instagram DMs. I just sent the deposit as a bank transfer.Deleted_User said:What do the terms say?0 -
Ouch. If she declines to respond, you're going to struggle. Do you have a business address? How much money is involved?1

Thanks for your reply! Yes, she has a business address. The deposit was £10 so not the end of the world if I can't get it back, but I would like to have it if possible, of course.Aylesbury_Duck said:Ouch. Your best bet is to politely remind her again. If she doesn't respond, just leave a factually accurate comment about it on her instagram page as a a sort of review.1
