UKPC Parking charge

Hi, I am sorry I can see from other answers to threads of this nature that I should read the "Newbies Post" but I have searched the forum/site and can't find it so I am asking a question that I am sure has been asked a million times already! I have received a parking charge of £100 (£60 if paid within 14 days, now 6 days) from UKPC in relation parking for 19 minutes longer than the allowed time in a retail park car park. I have no excuse other than that I didn't notice the signs and was killing time in between apts as I am a letting agent covering an area that is quite far from where I live. I used the closest restaurant (on the retail park) to eat and drink and then sat in my car for a while on the phone. Where do I stand with having to pay this fine?

I should read the "Newbies Post" but I have searched the forum/site and can't find itIf you hit your back button from this page it will get you to the forum thread list. The NEWBIES FAQ sticky is one of the 5 'ANNOUNCEMENTS' pinned to the top of the list. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

OP, have you based your forum username on your real name? If so, you may want to get your forum username changed to something completely anonymous.
To help with that, have a read of this item from the Forum's FAQs:Can I change my username?
In most circumstances, we don't allow this.
The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk e.g. you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something which gives away your identity within your username.
If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com your current username, the email address you registered with and three alternative usernames in order of preference.

Plan A is your best option here
Post 1 of the newbies FAQ sticky thread also has the blue text template to appeal as keeper
No blabbing about who was driving
Ps , it is an invoice , not a fine0 -
Please can the OP explain how, when they look at the first page of the parking board, they can't see the only Announcement thread in capital letters that begs newbies to read it first?
We can't have people starting threads asking for a link to the sticky! What on earth are you seeing that we don't see, on page one of this board?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
