im using my laptop as a desktop, and want to use it in it’s closed/shut position so it can sit under a monitor stand. Obviously I can shut it down using the wireless keyboard and mouse, but how can I power it up again without pulling it out and opening It?
I dont want want to spend £100+ for a docking station
Many thanks in advance, a technophobe

Don't shut it down, just but it in sleep.0

If in sleep and if set correctly, moving the mouse will wake it up1

but, remembering to reboot often to make it function better!

Go into the UEFI/BIOS settings and look for things to do with "wake up". For example it might be possible to make it power on when a keyboard key is pressed.
