HOLIDAY REFUND FOR CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY

Just want to big up Sykes Holiday Cottages.  Not only did they email us within 24 hours of latest tier review and offer us a refund or change of holiday dates- but when we requested a refund it appeared back IN FULL in our bank account the next day!!!!!! Unbelievable service- highly recommend!!

Good to hear some positive news.  The CMA worked wonders.  Got full refund from cottages.com too who could be connected?   Makes you
more likely to book again doesn’t it?

As above, always good to hear positive news in comparison to many of the frustrated and unhappy posters reporting rather different experiences, but it would have been more visible if you'd referred to a positive outcome from Sykes in the thread title instead of the neutral and generic wording there!

I wouldn’t say the same about Ryanair. Very shady practices happening with them. Will look elsewhere in the future.

Is that really a surprise? They’re low cost, low service. 

Also 95% of the posters accusing them of being ‘shady’ are irked that Ryanair won’t refund for a flight that went ahead, they just couldn’t board it due to restrictions (not Ryanair’s problem). 

What were the details of your situation?

Earlier in the year we had tickets booked, flight cancelled and then we selected for a refund. They sent us vouchers so we used them to buy tickets over Christmas. Now when we selected refund again they told us we can’t because they are now vouchers.
