Last year I booked a Holiday to Majorca for June but the holiday company contacted me to say I can either cancel or swap to next year after discussing I swapped to next year, I also asked for an all inclusive price as it was for half board the advisor said that fine and will go check with the hotel and coke back with a price. So a few days later in may this year I got a price for all inclusive great i thought we will take that £1 deposit paid, booking confirmation sent.
Then yesterday I had a phone call from sunshine to explain that my holiday will be cancelled as there has been a pricing error and I can either pay £8000 more or cancel, I was totally gutted. They then said I could have another hotel but it was a few starts bellow and nothing like the hotel we booked. The hotel was a iberostar alcudia park. I am so upset that how can I get a price confirm and now tell me I can’t have the hotel 6 months later and have to pay £8000 more if I want it.
For anyone to assist you, how much did you expect to pay for your holiday and how much did you pay!
Well given the OP returned >>> Last Active Today at 9:38AM <<<

Looks like no one will get the answer....
    Life in the slow lane
  • I expected to pay what I was quoted, to be honest it want not about the £1 it was more about the fact we were booked and all done then wanted more money, why give a price to me at the beginning of the year then change it.
I was given the quote and options clearly on the phone. They have said this hotel will he cancelled and £8000 increase yes it is a group of us.

Its an obvious pricing error, its in the T&Cs they can ask for the correct amount or cancel so legally you have no legs. You are not providing any figures, so you know its a pricing error all the bleating in the world isn't going to get you the holiday at the original price.
  • I expected to pay what I was quoted,
How much were you quoted? and what exactly did the quote cover? (number of people, length of stay, full or half board etc).

  • For my family that’s five £3500 for a week in June. 2 adults 3 children. All inclusive.
  • I feel if it was a genuine pricing error I would be ok, but surely when giving me the quote and paper work etc they would have noticed this? They gave me the price.
  • So take them to court and insist they honour the original price.

Can you prove it wasn't a genuine pricing error?
    Errors happen.
Why do you think they have this in their T&Cs?

I thought it was a group of 14, according to your first post, not five?

Good spot.  This might be the root of the problem, perhaps the travel company made an error and the £3500 was mistakenly applied to the party of 14?

Either that, or perhaps it's another thread where the OP drip feeds or changes circumstances to try and get the answer they want.
