Hi there,
I'm looking to renew my home and contents insurance, and one of the questions that comes up as part of the process up is previous claims.
Last year I dropped my watch and made a claim for that.
The watch was worth £450, but I had an excess fee of £200, so I was paid only £250 by the insurance company.
Now when answering the question "How much was paid out for this claim?" do I state the full value of the item - £450 - or what I was paid - £250?
Thanks in advance for any pointers.

The question itself tells you... paid, they paid £250... the value of the claim (or unadjusted loss before excess) was £4500
