Home and contents renewal and application form question about previous claims.

Hi there,
I'm looking to renew my home and contents insurance, and one of the questions that comes up as part of the process up is previous claims.
Last year I dropped my watch and made a claim for that.
The watch was worth £450, but I had an excess fee of £200, so I was paid only £250 by the insurance company.
Now when answering the question "How much was paid out for this claim?" do I state the full value of the item - £450 - or what I was paid - £250?
Thanks in advance for any pointers.
Rob

The question itself tells you... paid, they paid £250... the value of the claim (or unadjusted loss before excess) was £450
