When to buy Thomson Fly flights?

I apologise if this has been asked before. We are looking to have our first family holiday abroad and it will be the first flight for our 3 yr old, so we are looking at flying to Majorca with Thomson (maybe even back if we can get it cheaper).

Therefore my question is, should I wait until after Christmas to book our flight for the end of July (I'm hoping they have some kind of 'new year sale'). Or will I not get it any cheaper without booking to the last moment and potentially losing the flight times?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The most important words in your question are 'the end of July' This is the start of the school holidays in England, apologies to the rest of the UK. Fares are at the highest at that point and most flight seats could be sold twice. As soon as you see a flight and price you like, book it, fares only go one way at the end of July and that is 'up'

The last offer email that I received was "we are discounting our scheduled flights by up to 30%. That's a massive 2 million seats with up to 30% off, departing this winter or next summer - don't miss out, offer must end midnight 29th November" This offer was then extended to 3rd December. I have never booked flights with them that far in advance but the offers are sent out most months.

we booked some flights back in August to go in Sept 2008, I get the emails and check the prices offered during the sales and so far they have never been cheaper than when we paid, the closest it got was about £20 more during one sale. (currently our £267 flights for the 4 of us are now £428 so unless there is a 40% sale or higher I doubt it'll ever any cheaper)

If you find a price you like and you arew illing to pay it then book, as the flight fills the 'base' price for the next available seats will continue rising so any sale offer won't necessarily be saving you anything
