Love Holidays requesting payment for flights for cancelled holiday

Hi,
I booked a holiday with Love Holidays back in July for 1 week to Tenerife in the Hard Rock Hotel. After we booked it Tenerife were taken off the Travel Corridor list and we decided we did not want to pay any more payments until we saw what it would be like nearer the time. We are meant to be departing on the 27th Oct flying out with Ryan Air (flights organised by Love Holidays). We found out last week the Hard Rock hotel has now closed and obviously we longer want to go however when I have asked for the £150 deposit to be refunded they have sent me a bill for £307 for flights. They have told me to contact Ryan Air to ask for a refund who do not offer cancellations or refunds and yet Love Holidays still expect me to pay an additional £307 for a holiday we cant go on because the hotel is shut.

Can you please let me know where I stand, and if I actually owe this money?

Thanks

You owe the money if the flights still take off and you cancelled the holiday

If you decided to cancel the holiday then you wouldn't have been due the deposit back anyway.

Also if the terms and conditions state that flights are nonrefundable and that in the event of customer cancellation, you will still be liable for their cost, then LoveHolidays can enforce that. (you accepted the T&C's).

If LoveHolidays have cancelled the holiday then it's a different story.

AFAIK, any online reservation requires the customer to accept Terms and Conditions, effectively an electronic "signature" which will authorise.
Happy to be corrected by anybody who is more knowledgable in this area.

you will have ticked to say you agree with the terms and conditions when you made your booking (whether you chose to read them or not)
under Cancellations by You it states
Flight: 100% of the value of the flights is non-refundable from the point of booking (including baggage, insurance, etc.).
If this was a package booking and the booked hotel was closed, LoveHolidays should offer an alternative hotel of the same of better standard in the same resort...probably moot point now you have chosen to cancel
