Sorry, I am not sure what this means. Do I need to ask my bank for a 'chargeback' or the bank ask TAP?bradders1983 said:A bank would only be "responsible" if the OP is asking for a S75. He needs to ask for a "chargeback".0 -
You know very well what I meant, don't be so pedantic !!bradders1983 said:A bank would only be "responsible" if the OP is asking for a S75. He needs to ask for a "chargeback".
More to the point do you agree with the proposed course of action.0 -
No seriously, I do not understand. I am grateful for your help. There is no way I would want to be 'funny'. Please explain if you don't mindButts said:

Your bank. You have an email trail going back months (?) saying they will refund, and so far they have not.p9cbs said:

Point of note, if it's a flight only booking, it is not the PTR's (Package Travel Regulations) that are the effective legislation. It is EC261/2004 that applies to flights.2

Yes it is a flight only. Am I still entitled to a refund? Any advice on how I go about getting this. I have logged a complaint with TAP and phoned them but they say they will not refund ( bear in mind they take forever to respond to emails, if at all) Where go I go from here please?bagand96 said:Point of note, if it's a flight only booking, it is not the PTR's (Package Travel Regulations) that are the effective legislation. I have just had a look at the details regarding the EC261/2004 and have found this:bagand96 said:Point of note, if it's a flight only booking, it is not the PTR's (Package Travel Regulations) that are the effective legislation. It is EC261/2004 that applies to flights. The EU regulation 261/2004 is concerned with the following:
- It is intended for passengers who suffer delayed or cancelled flights, overbooking or denied boarding.
- Depending on the circumstances, and subject to certain conditions, it may give rise to a claim for compensation of between €250 and €600 per person.
- It provides assistance and access to basic services in the event of flights cancelled or delayed for several hours.
- It offers the right to request a seat on another flight or to withdraw from the scheduled flight if it is cancelled or delayed by more than 5 hours.

Not necessarily. One airline has renumbered a number of ex-London flights to non-base airports into one block without changing the flight times. This is IMO giving no entitlement to a refund.bradders1983 said:That is usually a get out clause. However, changing the flight number is NOT, and this will suffice in getting a full refund. Someone will be along shortly to confirm with a link.
A significant change in flight time (as defined in EU law) would give the right IMO, and 4h40 into a different airport (giving a 7h total difference) is unacceptable in my eyes, as it should be to OP.💙💛 💔0
