My son and his friends booked a cottage in Northumberland via Booking.com, for Sykes cottages. On the day the local lockdown came into force!

It did take 45 minutes to get through on the phone, but a helpful member of staff took the details and arranged for a refund to be made via an online account set up for him. Money back on his credit card within a couple of days.

Needless to say, would happily use them for future bookings - although would cut out the middle man and go direct.
The force is strong in this one!
