Hi
Need to sort my mothers house insurance as she is going into care.
My brothers is still residing in the property until such a time when we need to sell, so As I am POA do I put it in my name?
Thanks

No - just pay the premiums.
Perhaps the opportunity to hit the comparison sites for insurance and utilities.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -
The buildings insurance needs to be in the name of the owner - which is still your mother. Contents insurance should be whoever owns the contents.1

As long as the house remains occupied by a family member there shouldn't be any issue. If the house stands empty for an extended length of time the insurer needs to be informed.
