Caribbean Cruise

Hello,

I'm looking for any advice / offers / deals on caribbean cruises late February / early March. There will be 4 of us travelling from Glasgow.

I've never been on a cruise before so i'm not too sure of the best ways to go about booking a cheap deal. Any help would be much appreciated!

would you all be sharing a cabin or 2 cabin? it can make a difference on the quality of the cruise
Plus you might be better off thinking about getting a flight to London would that be an option?
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

It would have to be 2 cabins as my mother in law is coming so don't fancy sharing a cabin with her!! :rotfl:

Feb/Mar is a great time for the Caribbean, however we usually find that booking about 18 months in advance is when the best prcies can be had. For Caribbean we like P&O because you fly in and out of Barbados as opposed to America although Princess also uses Barbados and San Juan.

If you want to totaly avoid the 'formal' aspect then you could also consider Ocean Village (but to me that is missing out on one of the better parts of the cruise). Ocean Village operates out of Barbados and Jamaica.

Check out various online brokers, I see somebody else has mentioned Bolsover but also look at cruisekings, gillscruises and others. There are a couple of chatboards that are also a mine of information
    www.crowsnestonline.net (mainly British and P&O)
www.cruisecritic.com (mainly American but excellent source of info)

It is such a wide topic to try to explain everything but if you have specific queries then please post again and I am sure you will get answered.

  • Hi - try www.vacationstogo.com

They are based in the states but this means that the price is in dollars - so "half price" :) Only issue is that they are cruise only and you have to arrange the flights etc yourself. Worth the effort if you get good savings.

    Enjoy Cruising - it's FAB.
  • Went with Carnival Cruise Lines from Miami 3 years ago in February. Full board (food available 24hrs.),very informal and relaxing and your own cabin steward. You don`t even have to make your bed!! Mealtimes are a choice of formal or buffet style. Also a good selection of trips when in port (extra charge but reasonable) and on board entertainment. Friendly multi-national staff. All for about £200 for 4 nights away. Just book your own flights and enjoy yourself.
