Photos on my phone

Hi

I have a Samsung Galaxy J6 phone. I have my photos saved in albums in the Photos icon on my phone. I can see all my photos when I go into this icon.

I recently downloaded the FreePrints app so that I can get the photos from my photo printed off for free and I only pay delivery charges. However when I go to select the photos I want to order the photos are not there. Can anyone please advise as to what I am doing wrong. I assume my photos are saved in the wrong place.
Thanks

are you looking in the google photos app?  If so, are you looking at your backed up photos or the photos on your device?  the freeprints app should see all the photos on your device, you may just have to point it in the right direction

The app should look in all loactions for your photos within your device, it will normally ask for permission to do this when you install.
If it's only showing 6 pics then it's only looking in one location. Identify this folder and copy all the other pics to it.

Or better yet - look at the app settings and change them so it can point to where your photos are currently located. :)

That doesn't solve the problem when there's more than one storage folder. The fact it's only showing 6 pics would suggest it's only looking at one folder, there's more than one storage folder for pics.
This type of app should theoretically look at all folders containing any type of image as a default setting, sometimes the app developer makes a mistake. Without looking at the phone it's difficult to say what the issue is.

Are you speaking from experience with this app? If yes then I'll accept your response - if no then my reply stands; the app may just need to be told where to look.

I installed it and it does't ask for permission to look at any folder and there is no option in the settings to do so. It seems to want to sync with all social media platforms instead, fb, insta, google etc So the app isn't really intended for the purpose the op wants to use it for. There are several others available.
  • If you have an old android phone that is capable of downloading the app then i would suggest copying all the photo's over to an SD card and do it from the other phone, or as a pp said put all the photo's in one location.

Can you suggest an app which offers free prints (only pay delivery charges) which will allow mw to select photos from my phone regardless of where I have them stored?

    Thanks

Have you given it access to your Google drive or other storage points? Your photos, should be being backed up to Google Photos automatically.
