Since funds overall increase in value over the long term and no-one can predict the short term future successfully you are on average best off investing as soon as you have the money.
If you wait and prices fall would you buy because you could get more for your money or not buy because the fall made you even more nervous? If prices rise in the future would you buy at a higher price than now because you were less nervous or wait until even later because you were concerned that they were too expensive?
If you need the money in less than 5 years, or perhaps a bit more, dont invest at all.2 -
The same applies anytime you invest in stocks and shares. The reward is potentially greater, but so is the risk. As long as you don’t mind leaving your investment for at least 5-10 years, you should be ok.
The next part of yes, is which fund. Most would probably recommend diversification at first - so a global equity fund that should average out / follow the returns in the market.1 -
The term "mutual funds" is a bit of an Americanism that never took off over here despite some firms trying it.There are contradictory statements on this weather to invest or not.
Surely that comes down to the objectives more than anything else. Economically, there is nothing going on that would give any reason not to invest.

No,,the best time was a couple on months ago when the big panic was on..Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
