I have a JVC MG333HEK camcorder which I have lost the charger for. As it is an old model it seems JVC do not sell replacements any more. I was thinking of buying the charger that you put the battery directly into from eBay. If I charge the battery this way would it be possible to transfer the videos stored on the internal memory onto an SD card? I have all my children's baby videos on the camcorder and am devastated that I might not be able to access them.

As long as its the charger at fault and not the battery causing it to fail?
Cheap unbranded mains charger off ebay, make sure you do not leave it unattended and always power it off before
plugging the battery in and out.
