Mortgage taken out without consent and bank holds inaccurate details

Hi
Bit of a strange questions but I am am in dispute with a high street lender - a mortgage was taken out without my consent in 2007 by my brother (he was a broker back then) a family dispute highlighted this in 2014 and he refused to sell it and later moved in and refused to pay the mortgage - the house then sold in Feb 2020 after a battle. Long story short the agreement in principle has an incorrect date of birth for me, the mortgage offer has another incorrect date of birth and my passport is illegible and signed by my estranged brothers business partner. Their company was investigated for fraud in 2008 for about 3 years relating to another matter. The bank refused to help me despite begging for several years and now I am trying to get a mortgage it is proving difficult because of missed or late payments on the mortgage account. Transunion have me with this different date of birth linked to this mortgage also so I am asking them to remove the mortgage account but I am in limbo at the moment. Other than this credit history is great. I have contacted the bank again to ask for help, but I was wondering if anyone knows where I may stand?

Thank you. I will definitely try, the mortgage was never on my Equifax or Experian so I was confused to be turned down for a mortgage but then was told to look at Transunion and there it was - I had never heard of transunion before!0

This is a good point.Densol said:I presume the Police were involved with this mortgage fraud ?
When I worked for RBS/Natwest (admittedly about 10 years ago) I would usually speak to at least 1 person a month where someone had "fraudulently" applied for a loan or credit card. We then told them we needed a police reference number and all of a sudden it wasnt a problem as they were not prepared to go to the police.
