Sound has disappeared on HDMI... help please!

Can anyone help me please? I connected my Samsung TV to my PC using an HDMI cable, in order to play shows on YouTube. Everything has been working well, until last night, when there was a perfect mirroring of the screen, but no sound , The TV plays as normal, as does my digibox (plugged into the other HDMI socket... I've swapped them round, and there is sound on the digibox, but not on YouTube). I've change the HDMI cables and updated the software for my PC soundcard (though sound on YouTube plays through headphones perfectly well), but it just doesn't seem to play on my TV anymore Any thoughts or help really appreciated.

On a PC you have to chose where to output the sound, either speakers or HDMI, it doesn't output on both. You need to go into sound settings and select HDMI as the audio output device

I tried that on an acer desktop I got but that didnt work. It turns out the upgrade from Windows 7 to 10 the drivers were not compatible and I lost the sound. And I cant get drivers to make it work for love nor money.
