Im currently trying to get a refund from ByoJet who might I add are useless and I will never use again. They told me back in February that they would refund me my money within 12 weeks. So I thought ok thats great. Well it hit the 12 week mark about a fortnight ago and I had nothing from them. So I decided to email to say well where is the money you told me you would give back. They come back to say a response you would obviously expect to hear about coronavirus this coronavirus that & delaying payment. What is the law re. them telling you it will take a certain period of time to refund you and then once they have ran past that time frame they try add on more time. Surely there is a law protecting the consumer from this sort of business delay tactic. They say they are still in the process of refunding the money - how long does it take to go through this refund process. Im only 20 years old so am in need of the money now especially due to the current situation. I think this is totally unfair and they should be penalised. I have asked them to detail what extra work is going to be undertaken as they have had more time. I should surely be top of the queue considering that my refund was offered in February. I have also gone through my credit card company who are disputing the transx but I am also following it up because I need that money back asap.

If you booked a package holiday then legally you should have been refunded in 14 days.nickbrown2310 said:Im currently trying to get a refund from ByoJet who might I add are useless and I will never use again. But very few people have got it is that time-frame, many are still waiting.
You are also claiming via credit card which is good
Another action you can take is threaten ByoJet with court action so send them a "LETTER BEFORE ACTION"
it might work, it might not, but feel atm your options are limited
SevenOfNine has posted a template in the TUI thread, you could use that, changing the details to ByoJet

BYOjet is based in Australia so letters before action sent from the UK may not worry them too much. The reviews are generally terrible, they told one UK passenger they were looking after their Australian clients first....a good reason to investigate who you are dealing with before you make the booking.1

Their UK arm is registered as a UK company, with UK offices, so somewhere to send the bailiffsAlan_Bowen said:BYOjet is based in Australia so letters before action sent from the UK may not worry them too much.
