JobSeeker Allowance: how to report a change in circumstances during COVID-19?

Hello all,
I have applied for new style JSA and my application was accepted. I have found a job in the mean time and I have started this week. I want to report a change in circumstances, so I went on the website https://www.gov.uk/jobseekers-allowance/report-a-change-of-circumstances where it advises to call 0800 169 0310 to do so. They aren't taking calls at the moment, and I don't know which is the address to write a letter to as I didn't receive a letter from them. If anyone has any leads on this it would be highly appreciated.

I can't help with the question, but congratulations on the new job.

That's not the correct phone number to ring for New style JSA, that will be the old legacy JSA number. The number you need to ring is : 0800 055 6688 Do be aware though that they will be extremely busy due to the current conditions. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-style-jobseekers-allowance
    Congrats on the new job!

  • Thank you both - poppy12345, I had tried that number too and it's also disabled at the moment, sorry for not including this in my original post.
  • I've finally been able to get through to them - the number to call is 0800 169 0310 and they are operating on reduced working hours at the moment, 08:30-16:30, they will ramp it up again in the coming weeks.
    Thanks for your help!

You've done better than me. I've been trying to ring them repeatedly and once I get past the recorded messages i get something along the lines of 'This line has been closed while we help everybody making new claims. You still need to tell us about any change of circumstances which you can do by ringing 0800 169 0310.' - the very number i am ringing on and which they have just told me is closed.
It is frustrating but I know they are all working very hard. Almost 3 million UC claims between 16th March and 26th May and still rising.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
