Can holidays be carried over to the next year whilst on Furlough?

Hi, I’m currently on furlough at the moment but i have been told by my employer i have to take 2 weeks holiday.. i have read workers can carry holidays over for up to 2 years, if you are in furlough are you still entitled to carry holidays over or do you have to use them whilst on furlough?
thank you

Yes they can be BUT your employer can tell you when to take your holidays providing they give twice the amount of notice. They must also pay you 100% of your wages while on annual leave.

There isn't a blanket "holidays can be carried over for up to two years."
That is very much up to the employer and the employment contract.
Mine is a "use it or lose it, we'll carry it over only if it's not been possible for you to take it,  and you have to take it within a month of the new leave year starting".
Your employer is very sensibly trying to avoid all their staff not taking leave for months,  then all needing to cram it in later in the year.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

That rule was basically introduced for people who could not take holidays, to busy rather then people who would prefer to.
