Logitec C250 Webcam set up on Windows 10

I am trying to reset up my Logitec C250 webcam on my desk top PC. which is on Windows 10 . The webcam disk is for windows7 and obviously this does not work on my PC. How can i  set up my webcam on Windows 10 . Presumably I need to run a programme to convert it. Which was is easy and safe.I have connected to an USB port but no sign of any life. Any help you can give to someone is not Techie Savvy will be really helpful

Thank You. I have tried that download but it comes up with a message another installation running which is not the case. How to I correct please.

I would be surprised if it didn't work in Windows 10.  Maybe it is broken.

The issue is it was Logited C250 webcam was originally programmed on Windows 7 which was windows programme I was using when I purchased the webcam. The disc supplied does not support Windows 10.only windows 7. I am trying to download Windows 10 software mentioned in the first reply but it will not work as it is says there is another download running which I can't find or get rid of.

Is the problem one of downloading or running the application? (You've made conflicting statements). If it's downloading then try with another web browser.

Have you tried restarting (not shutting down) your PC?

PS - the W7 app will probably install OK. All you need to do is right-click the installer and choose Compatibility mode - select the Windows 7 option.

I just plugged mine in and it automatically found drivers. Unless you've an actual need to use the Logitech Webcam app and the Windows one or any of a plethora of ones you can download won't do the job then it'll work fine just doing that.

I suspect that you don't need any software to make it work under Windows 10.  Plug it in and see if it works with anything that uses a webcam.
