Hi,

I have 2 TPLink HS110 smartplugs,  v2.1 firmware 1.5.7 at the same pysical location.  Shortly after a app update, the 2 devices were unreachable.  I have a camera by a different make that I can access so i know the internet hasn't gone down and wifi is working.
Weirdly, I have another HS110 in a different physical location and that is running firmware 1.5.10 and that is still reachable and is working fine, has never gone unreachable to day.
Anyone else come across this?  Weirdly after about a week, it is suddenly reachable so i'm now thinking as lockdown has eased a bit, I might visit the location for the 2 x HS110 and update the firmware and restart them/router as don't want them ideally randomly going unreachable.
Thanks
Kev

You might at least have mentioned what a TP-Link HS110 is.  Smart Home Plug?

Have you tried re-pairing them to the master smartplug?

Thanks for your reply @MinuteNoodles.  I've not done anything at present as they have suddenly come back online and reachable by the app but i'm baffled as to why they were unreachable and why they have suddenly come back of there own accord.  Slightly concerned incase they drop off again at some point hence wondering if anyone else has come across this and if i should update the firmware on them to the latest as maybe that's the reason?  As said app did update other day on my devices and shortly after this is when they were unreachable but are now back and working again.

My different model TP Link ones did do it early on when I first got them but I don't recall the last time they did. There's been a few changes of electrical kit over the time so maybe it was something putting noise on the mains at a frequency the powerline adapters use which caused a communications issue - it's all I have at the moment. As they use RF over the mains to communicate and your mains wiring effectively becomes a large antenna (I'm a radio ham and these things used to be the bane of my existence once upon a time especially the first generation ones BT provided) it's possible that something was transmitting on the frequencies they use or one of its harmonics and that caused them to stop communicating too.
