As I posted earlier I installed Bullgaurd Antivirus onto my laptop that is running on Windows 10 ,I only installed it as I found the log on details that I used on my Windows XP desktop unit, it was a 3 year paid program and still is valid for about 9 months.
However since installing it the laptop is really running slow and the screen was freezing so I have removed it from the laptop ,seems ok now.
I have clicked on settings and checked the security program and it says Windows Antivirus is activated as well as the firewall.
Is there anything else I need to do ?
Thanks for any help given.

You've removed it which is the main thing.  Many people here also run Malwarebytes free manual scan (rather than paid for real-time scanner);  https://www.malwarebytes.com/premium/
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.

Just enable Windows Defender that's build in free with Windows 10. It's efficient. If 2 different AV programs are running at one time, that will also cripple a machines performance.
