Furlough- Annual Leave

Hi Guys,
I have been furloughed and trying to understand the information from lawyers's website:
"Therefore, if an employee is to take annual leave during a period of furlough, the employer will be required to top up over and above the 80% received back through the JRS."
My employer already top up remaining 20% of pay. Do I understand correct that if I am taking 3 weeks of annual leave in June then I should be paid for month June:
monthly salary (covered by JRS) plus 3 weeks of annual leave (which is 7 weeks)?
Or they are talking about 20% of top up (which is optional for employers) and then my salary for June will be just usual monthly salary? I am confused.
Many thanks.

You don't get extra money for being on holiday. You should be paid your normal salary for the whole month as you say your employer is already paying the amount to bring your pay to 100%.

You will just be paid the 100%. You could try to ask them about moving your annual leave but I think as you are being lucky getting paid 100% anyway you could be pushing your luck a bit.

To Sharpe106:
Yes I agree with you, better to try to move annual leave.
Not sure about being lucky as many people said that all these furloughed people will be unemployed at the end of the scheme....0 -

I doubt at the end of the scheme all the people on it will be made unemployed. Companies will still need employees. A lot might have to take pay cuts.

I recently returned from 3 weeks' furlough. Our leave year runs Jan-Dec. To avoid an annual leave mountain across the company later in the year, my employer has told all staff that we must have taken one third of our annual leave entitlement by the end of June or they will remove it from our entitlement. For me that means I must book 6 days in the next 7 weeks. Having been furloughed I have no immediate wish to have more time off work. Can they unilaterally remove these 6 days from my leave entitlement in this way?0

They also need to pay you 100% for the days they want you use as holiday if they are not topping your wages up.

The OP's employer is already paying the 100% (see post #1).0
