Returning to work after cancer

I have been on sick leave from work since last August, due to being diagnosed and having treatment for bowel cancer.
I am very lucky to work for an employer who paid me my full salary for 6 months, and I have been on half pay for 2 months. I was due to return to work on the 18th of May but due to my cancer treatment have been put on the extra vulnerable list, so cant leave the house for 12 weeks.
I am just wondering if I would be entitled to my full pay from the date I was due to go back or will I have to remain on half pay until I can go back to work?

I would imagine your employer would consider it to be one continuous period of sickness so would pay half pay....but only they can confirm the position.1

If you have been advised to shield you are entitled to be treated sick. You are not available for work so I see no reason for your employer to pay you full pay.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1

It would be up to them if they were funding it. Entitled to would depend on your contract, but I doubt it would go back up to full pay.
