Hastings renewal query

Hi all,
Received a renewal from Hastings for car insurance via e-mail on the 16th April with a renewal price of £648.96 (previous year approx £450).
I logged onto my account online and the renewal quote was there for the same price.
Then I received a letter from Hastings that was posted on the 20th April regarding a renewal quote, this time the price on the letter is £316.02, i've logged into my account again and it still gives me the price I received via e-mail (£648.96)
I've never known this to happen nor can find any instance of it happening to anyone else.
My question is do they have to honour the lower price bearing in mind it was posted out 4 days after i received the higher quote via e-mail.

Best to give them a ring to double check, could be am error or gives you an excuse to haggle
